Velos 2024.1.SR10 Dairy Farming

This Nedap Velos software version contains new and improved functionalities that provide new solutions, add valuable options to existing solutions and further increase the ease of use of Velos.

Nedap FarmControl

Identification

  • The auto configure option of a Rotary Identification behaviour component now works correctly also when the first position has a number greater than one.

  • The clear responder functionality on a PPID system of a rotary parlour now also works correctly when the first position has a number greater than one.

  • An issue has been resolved where cow numbers were not removed at the end of a round on a rotary parlour with PPID when the first position of the rotary parlour was greater than one.

  • On a rotary parlour with 'First ID' enabled, a responder number was never cleared after being assigned to a position. As a result, this responder could no longer be placed elsewhere, and other responders could no longer be assigned to that position. This issue has been resolved.

  • In the PPID component, there was an incorrect conversion between relative and absolute positions. This caused incorrect calculations when the first position was not set to one, resulting in the first ID placement not unlocking the position correctly. This issue has been resolved.

  • The Location Validator behaviour component did not work on a secondary VPU. This has been fixed.

Feeding

  • Resolved an issue that prevented the feed start calculation from functioning correctly beyond the year 2030.

General

  • Nedap constantly updates the software to prevent security vulnerabilities. In this version some 3rd party libraries have been updated because of these vulnerabilities.

  • The firmware update for the VP1801 has been adapted to account for the fact that the update in the VP1801 is not programmed in a contiguous memory area.

  • The Forgot Password page previously defaulted the username field to null. This field is now left empty again.

  • When the software was updated during the update step of the setup wizard, an “Oops, page cannot be found!” page appeared after the update. This issue has been resolved.

  • An issue has been resolved where a user with the role service could bypass the change password prompt even when there were 0 days remaining to change the password.

Firmware

  • The firmware update for the VP1801 has been adapted to account for the fact that the update in the VP1801 is not programmed in a contiguous memory area.

New firmware has been added for the following V-Packs:

  • VP4102 v3.07.04

    • Removed anonymous FTP access.

  • VP1801 v3.12.10

    • Changes:

      - Security updates.

      Minor fixes

      - VP1801-B gives an error when TagReader didn't start.

      - Fixes for reading InTime SmartTags.

      - Fixes for status led indicator for Nedap SmartSort.

      - Fixes for bug in logfiles.

System requirements

Velos version

  • An installation needs to run on version 2022.1 or newer to be able to update to this version. Make sure to update to version 2022.1 first before installing this version.

Taurus

  • This version is compatible with Taurus 2020.1 (5.101.7.0) up to and including Taurus 2024.1.1 (5.147.25.0).
