This Nedap Velos software version contains new and improved functionalities that provide new solutions, add valuable options to existing solutions and further increase the ease of use of Velos.

Nedap CowControl

Heat Detection, Health Monitoring

  • On the monitor page of a behavior component of the type 'SmartTag receiver,' accessible via 'Maintenance > Behavior components,' no data was displayed under the 'Frequencies' tab. This issue has now been resolved.

Cow Locating

  • Fixed an issue where cow locating beacons are sometimes lost by the VPU. This happened especially at farms with multiple readers where the beacons are detected by multiple readers.

  • When searching for the position of a group of animals and 1 animal could not be located, an error message would show and state that all animals could not be located. This would occur when the Responder 3 field used. This has now been fixed.

General

  • Nedap constantly updates the software to prevent security vulnerabilities. In this version some 3rd party libraries have been updated because of these vulnerabilities: CVE-2021-27516, CVE-2020-26291, CVE-2022-0613, CVE-2022-1233

  • The system notification about the availability of a new version displayed a popup, but the buttons in this popup had no text. This issue has now been resolved.

  • In some cases, a secondary VPU could not be updated because the update file was not found. This issue has now been resolved.

  • When uploading an update file failed, it was sometimes not possible to retry the process without first restarting the VPU. This issue has now been resolved.

  • When 2 or more V-Packs have an antenna with an error, only 1 system attention is displayed. This has now been resolved.

  • Improved VP4102 update mechanism.

Firmware

New firmware has been added for the following V-Packs:

  • VP1801: v3.12.07

    • Security updates.

    • VP1801-B gives an error when TagReader didn't start.

    • Fixes for reading InTime SmartTags.

System requirements

Velos version

  • An installation needs to run on version 2022.1 or newer to be able to update to this version. Make sure to update to version 2022.1 first before installing this version.

Taurus

  • This version is compatible with Taurus 2020.1 (5.101.7.0) up to and including Taurus 2024.1.1 (5.147.25.0).

  • iOS 15 or later

  • Android 5.0 or later
