This Nedap Velos software version contains new and improved functionalities that provide new solutions, add valuable options to existing solutions and further increase the ease of use of Velos.

Tag Issues page

• A 'SmartTag no data' attention was created for SmartTag Ear while it was sending data correctly. This has now been resolved.

• On the 'SmartTag no data' tab an incorrect group number was displayed. This issue has been resolved. Furthermore, some tabs would display an animal's production group, while others would display the group / pen. All tabs on the Tag Issues page will now display the animal's group / pen.

• Fixed an issue on the 'No Animal linked' tab where tags were listed as unlinked while they were linked to an animal.

• Tags that were marked as 'Not a SmartTag' in a older Velos version were listed as 'Not my SmartTag' in the 2025.2a release. Tags that were marked as 'Not a SmartTag' will now be set to 'Muted'.

Heat Detection and Health Monitoring

• Fixed an issue where a SmartTag's health data would not be processed while heat data was processed correctly. As a result an animal could still get heat attentions but no behaviour attentions.

General

• Nedap constantly updates the software to prevent security vulnerabilities. In this version some 3rd party libraries have been updated because of these vulnerabilities: CVE-2021-27516, CVE-2020-26291, CVE-2022-0613, CVE-2022-1233

• On the Settings > Production based housing page it's possible to assign a location to a cow production status. Normally, after changing these settings, a pop-up window would appear asking the user if they want to change the location of all animals based on the settings. However, this pop-up window would not appear. This has now been fixed.

System requirements

Velos version

• An installation needs to run on version 2024.1.SR4 or newer to be able to update to this version. Make sure to update to version 2024.1.SR4 first before installing this version.

Taurus

• When using Taurus for a DelPro integration this Velos version is only compatible with Taurus 2024.1.1 (5.147.25.0)

• For all other integrations this Velos version is compatible with Taurus 2020.1 (5.101.7.0) up to and including Taurus 2024.1.1 (5.147.25.0)

• This Velos version is compatible with Taurus 6.0 (6.0.0.62) for all integrations. Taurus with build numbers 5.x.x.x are deprecated and therefore it is advised to use Taurus 6.1
